South Africa is amongst the highest in inequality and  unemployment in the world and corruption is prevalent. The quality of school education for the designated previously disadvantaged population, who make up approximately 92% of the population is substandard and the South African economy is unsustainably resource intensive. For the higher-employment-rated population demographics (White and Indian/Asian) of South Africa, crime is the most serious issue followed by unemployment. For the White population State corruption is the third most serious issue whilst the Indian/Asian community see education is the third most serious issue for them.  For the Coloured and African demographic its unemployment, crime and housing with the Coloured community having state corruption in fourth and the African community showing poor/slow service delivery as their next serious issue with state corruption thereafter. Critical actions required include a social compact to reduce poverty and inequality and to raise employment and investment; Strengthen accountability, improve coordination and prosecute corruption; Develop interventions to ensure environmental sustainability and resilience; Locate jobs where people live and reduce crime by improving community environments.
